Boy, does it feel that this day has been a VERY long time coming, considering that Accent was originally supposed to be an April release, so it's been done since last July.

But that's besides the point, today is the day! And I have a lot to tell you about my lovely second book. First off, I'm doing a boatload of publicity for this book-- opportunities that I didn't have with Adiós, but that I think have come my way because of my lovely Little Book That Could, so without further ado...

Well, I know I already told y'all I've been invited to be a featured author at the 2007 St. Petersburg Times Festival of Books which will be held on October 27th, but guess where else I've been invited?

No, seriously, guess...

The 22nd Annual National Hispanic Women's Conference! I'm going to be on a panel promoting Latina literature and from what I understand, I'm going to be on said panel with a couple of my favorite authors, Mary Castillo (In Between Men) and Margo Candela (Underneath it All). Dude, how amazingly cool is that? That's going to be on September 14 in Phoenix, Arizona. (And I even get to take in a concert by the deliciously talented Alejandro Fernández that night-- how serendipitous is that?)

Radio interviews! Getcher radio interviews here! I have several lined up in several different markets and part of me is thrilled-- hey, I can stay in my pajamas! But part of me is also terrified because, EEEEEEEEP, interviews! Where people will ask me questions and I'm expected to produce witty, erudite answers! Coherent, even! EEEEEEEEP!
