This is the time of year in the U.S. where we stop our frenetic rushing around for just a few hours and give thanks for what we have before hopefully stuffing our faces in the company of family and friends. I'm very lucky-- I have a beautiful family, wonderful dogs who give me so much, a cat who tries to steal my chair, and the most amazing remarkable group of friends I could ever hope to have.

This year, it's been difficult to feel as if there's much to be thankful for-- but I'm glad to have this one day to stop and say, "You know... all things considered, definitely not bad."

So to all of my friends-- thank you so very much for being my rocks and for providing the Two by Four of Wisdom with which you slap me upside the head when necessary.
